The site is about networking, collabs, safety, content promotion and sales, and recognising each others work.
IMPORTANT NOTES:-
- You will automatically be made a Personal Friend of PaulJonesAIR. You can unfriend me, no problem. I'm just channelling Tom from MySpace. Seriously, it's so there is something to see in My Flags, while you find your feet.
- You will automatically be Subscribed - free - to PaulJonesAIR, so you see the site like a new monthly paying subscriber to you would. If you want to be removed, just ask.
Get Paid!
You'll want to get paid, install Cake Wallet on your phone.
With it when someone buys your content at 3am, you wake up with the money in your phone. Not all wallets do this. Though all wallets can pay you :-)
Step 1: Fill in the important User account fields
Menu: My Account
- Picture: Performers should use their face. Other people, a logo or leave it empty is fine.
- Industry Links : If you want the upgrade to Professional, show that you are in the industry. Your X and sales links. I'll check them out.
Once Registered, and told of your upgrade to Professional:-
Click on your Username and you'll see new fields. They are optional, and can be left empty until you are ready to start selling content.
IGNORE FOR NOW as Content Sales to the public are not yet live : When you want to sell content, complete the Payment Instructions, Contact Instructions, and T&C fields. Payment and Contact info is sent to the fan with every order they place via the site. It's how you get paid.
Step 2: Create Professional Bio
Menu : Add Content, Professional Bio.
IMPORTANT: If you like to collab, make sure you complete these fields.
Step 3: If you want to interact with the public, create a Public Bio
Menu : Add Content, Public Bio.
Creators : just a few words about you.
In Person Services? : You can say so, in general terms such as escort, domination etc, but no detailed sexual act/service menus. You can link out to a site/page with them on. You can list a phone number if you wish.
Only Age Verified members of the public can see Bios.
Step 4: Find your people, connect
Menu link: Professionals
It defaults to showing all the Professional Bios, (which is why you need one. You are invisible until you have one), and allows searching. For the people you know, click their name and you’ll see that you have a bunch of options:
- Green Flag: People you are happy to recommend to others. They are semi public. Your friends can see that you Green flagged them. They might ask you for a reference.
- Friend: Someone from whom you have a professionally cordial relationship. They will know you have flagged them. You can Group Mail groups of Friends. Other people can’t see your Friends.
Personal Friend: As above, but Actual Friend. In the context of this site, the F and PF distinction is really so that when you want to contact your proper friends, they are there ready sorted. It is absolutely normal that your PF will also be F. - Group Mail: Ever wanted to “I’m going to Berlin. I wish I could quickly one shot message my performer contacts who live there to see if they want to collab”. You can now :-)
- Follow: Follow is for fans. You might do so for service providers like MUA, Accountants, Locations etc, but not normally Creators, unless you buy their stuff. Generally if you want to follow a Creator, you should reach out to them and ask if you can Friend them..
Step 5: Create Content
Trace
Menu : Add Content, Trace
This an industry safety initiative. If you are a performer (or agent) you can create a record of who you have worked with, and when. NO MEDICAL information is even asked for.
If there are any outbreaks, we can give access to the medical team handling it. This means that they will more quickly know if you are in a risk chain, or not.
Entirely voluntary, and only really useful if a lot of performers use it. If it doesn't gain traction, will remove. Knowing we tried. Instead of just whinging.
Content Creation Guidelines
Menu : Add Content, then the content type
- Physical Goods and Events are easy: If you are a maker, create some ads for your stuff. If you are a party organiser or go on tours, create Events.
- Streams (i.e. video) is, unavoidably, more complex: For now, start with SignPosting. This is where you create Streams that point to your content on other sites. It means that you can do the tagging (and give love to the non-performers and locations) and quickly build a library of material for fans so they can find your content, no matter where it is. Do review the Content Rules first, and if signposting, do not mention (in descriptions for signposting) anything that we do not allow. Do not include (Download and Cloud) barred content.
- IMPORTANT : Your account defaults to using our Test Cloud. This is fine to experiment with streams BUT WE WIPE IT REGULARLY. Once you are confident with using the Cloud, ASK US TO SET YOURS UP.
- Once you have done a few Signposting, look at the Download and Cloud options. To use the Cloud, we need to set up a Library for you, but you can try it with our Test Cloud.
