  • The platforms monitor messages and if you ever asked about meet, or contacting off platform and didn't get a response, that's because even giving a polite "No" can get a creator into trouble with the platform.
  • Platforms often have to charge you VAT or sales taxes, when if you buy direct, the creator might not (because they are small businesses and don't have to).
