Money : YOU decide everything, all the money goes direct from buyer to you.

Off Site Payments : Bank, gift cards, whatever, easy to see how it works. 

Buyer pays you, you log in and grant access, or send the goods, or finalise the service.

We have no idea what happened between you and the buyer behind the scenes. 

Our site might know that you gave Buyer access to scenes 1,2,3,5 which are listed at $10 each, but we do not know that that they only paid you $20 because you ran a Twitter campaign, "This week only, all scenes half price, minimum 4 scenes, DM me what you want".

Lightning Payments : It's still you, but automated. This matters for tax and business law. And for meaning that the process below happens while you sleep, You do nothing. Your Lightning service does. Automatically.

  • Buyer presses the buy button.
  • Site sends a message to your Lightning service (wallet) asking you to send an invoice, and saying that the buyer is expecting to pay X, say $10. 
  • Your Lightning service generates and sends back an invoice that is shown to the buyer.
  • If the buyer proceeds, their wallet, on their device, sends the payment directly from their wallet to your Lightning service.
  • Your Lightning service, once paid, sends a message back to CreatorsUnchained confirming that the payment was made and instructing an unlock of the content. Important - We are NOT involved in any way in the decision to unlock, merely executing your instruction.
  • We send you an email detailing the unlock for your records.

Tax Records we collect and share

None. We run this site such that we are NOT required by the Digital Platforms law to collect your detailed personal information or share it with tax authorities.

Navigating that is why the only things that can be bought in an automated way are pre-recorded videos. 

And that for everything else we are just an advertising/listings service where your actual business - finalising prices, terms and details, and settlement is off site such that we have no knowledge of what happens.

Note : YOU of course have a duty to log and report all your earnings, and in the event of a tax authority getting a court order requiring us to share what we do have, but in that we are the same as every business, everywhere. It's the extra reporting requirements laid down by the Digital Platforms rules that do not apply to us.

This can make things a little more complicated, but we picked creator empowerment!
