Streams Overview

THREE ways to sell:-

Signposting : Point people at your scenes on OTHER PLATFORMS 

  • This is really useful because CreatorsUnchained becomes central point where ALL your content can be listed, no matter what platform it sell on. 
  • And some people will always prefer to pay by card, on a platform they are familiar with.

Download : Allow people to pay for you to grant access to the file on your own online storage. Basically means you sell direct, but know they are age verified. 

Cloud Stream : Use our Cloud to store and deliver streamed content. 

Combination Cloud Steam and Signposting : You CAN create a Cloud Steam, but also Signpost it for people who insist on using cards on the old fashioned platforms.

SFW promotional material for NSFW content or even SFW content if you have any NSFW material or industry connection. Keep “in image/video” titles basic. No URLS other than social media/platform links. No emails. No Phone numbers.

NSFW promotional material can have any text you like. 

How it works – what goes where

  • Thumbnails are stored on our server. ALL content can have visible thumbnails even if you don’t use our Cloud. 
  • Trailers are stored in our Cloud. Only Cloud users can include Trailers. You need to create your own Trailers. 
  • Loops (the little videos that play when you mouse over a grid of results) are stored in our Cloud. Only Cloud Users can include Loops. You need to create your own Loops. Teeny tiny files are the aim - they only appear on Grids so you can be brutal with quality which means they load fast and cost less.
  • Scenes where you have uploaded the files, are stored in our Cloud.

Using the Cloud

Experiment by using our Test Cloud. 

Create a few Streams to see how it works. When happy, ask us to set up your own. 

NOTE Test Cloud is just for trying it. We wipe it on a regular basis and that will break the Streams,(which we might delete as well). 

I usually upload Trailers from my PC, but the URL method to send the main files from my Dropbox. TBF, I am off grid and big uploads take ages.

You don’t have to use the Cloud. 

You can make all the Signposting content you want, with a Thumbnail and links out. 

Cloud Options :-

Minimal Cloud Use

Use it for Trailers and Loops only, to promo your  content. 

Trailers : 720p using a YouTube render setting. 

Loops:-

  • Format: .mp4 (H.264 codec) 
  • Length: 3 to 5 seconds
  • Resolution: Max 720p (1280x720), smaller is better.
  • Audio: MUST be muted/removed entirely. (Audio tracks block browser autoplay).
  • Framerate: 15 to 25 (Lower framerates save massive file size).

  • Max File Size: 5MB, but if they are more than 1MB you are wasting money.

    I use 640x360 and "least" quality, and often have file sizes under 200K. So I get about 500 Grid video loops played for 1c.

Standard Cloud for content Streams

  • Streams 720p (HD) at 2.8Mbs 
  • The ideal balance between cost and quality for most users. 
  • If you are rendering, pick the 720 YouTube render. Loops, keep small, see above.

  • If you have bigger renders, upload them, the system knocks them down to size.

     

High Quality Cloud 

  • If you decide you need it, you can select higher levels such as 1080 at 5Mbs, 1440 at 8Mbs, or 2160 at 25Mbs and Original File. 
  • But the bigger the files, the bigger the cost, so, wait until you know you need it. In fact we strongly advise AGAINST starting above 1080. 
  • If you have a market for very big high quality files (1440+ max bitrate), using your own online storage and selling as Downloads will be cheaper. 

Giving People due Credit 

  • You can give proper credit to EVERYONE involved. 
  • Where they are site members, this also helps people network, esp those who are off camera. 
  • This is what the Tagging is about.
